In the 1970’s racing chronographs were king. Macho, bold, aggressive - they had the swagger to match the muscle cars and tracks they were meant to accompany. This is where the Zodiac Grandrally finds its roots. Based on a famed chronograph from the era of which a small amount bore the Zodiac name, the Grand Rally has all of the cues of its predecessor with a few modern adjustments as well.
Sporting a 41.5mm barrel-shaped case and a two-register, contrast sub-dial design, the Grandrally is vintage racing to a tee. The case has a bold wrist presence but wears well thanks to its curvaceous design and high-quality brushing. The dial, however, is the star of the show, with a mix of strong graphic elements, pops of contrast colors and faceted applied markers. The tachymeter chapter ring is a defining element of a racing chronograph.
The Grandrally Chronographs feature a Swiss Quartz movement. This chronograph movement features a sweeping central chrono seconds hand, giving it more of the look, feel and accuracy of a mechanical chronograph. Additionally, the movement features a 30-minute counter at nine, an active seconds dial at three and a quickset date at six.
