The Citizen Promaster Nighthawk is a modern and feature-packed professional pilot’s watch that pairs a dual time zone display with a solar-powered movement and ample water resistance to create a rugged and highly-capable timepiece that’s designed for crossing time zones and traveling the skies.
The Citizen Nighthawk features a 42mm stainless steel case, which houses an internal slide rule bezel that is operated by a secondary crown located on the side of its case. The high-contrast black dial draws its inspiration from cockpit instruments, and just as you would expect from a proper pilot’s watch, the hands and hour markers are coated with ample amounts of luminous material for at-a-glance reference of the time in dark conditions. Fitted with an olive green leather strap for a military-inspired appearance, the Nighthawk’s case is furnished with a shatter-resistant mineral crystal and a solid stainless steel case-back, which provide it with a generous 200 meters of water resistance.
Powering the Promaster Nighthawk is Citizen’s Eco-Drive B877 movement, which is part of the brand’s range of solar-powered calibers that are capable of charging themselves with any light source and can last for up to six months in total darkness once fully charged. In addition to displaying the time and date, the B877 movement is capable of tracking a secondary time zone, which the Nighthawk displays with an innovative dual-tipped GMT hand that is color coordinated to help differentiate between AM and PM hours.
