Take a trip down memory lane to the year 1972. CITIZEN has released its first mechanical chronograph watch series - the Chronograph Challenge Timer. It instantly becomes a massive hit globally, showcasing the brand's dedication to precision and accuracy. A few months later, in January of 1973, CITIZEN continues their run and releases the Tsuno Chrono, affectionately nicknamed the "bullhead". This watch stood out with its unique configuration, with the chronograph pushers at the top of the case instead of on the side. Its captivating "panda" dial and exceptional feature set made it an instant fan favorite, and watch enthusiasts have eagerly anticipated its comeback.

Fast forward to the present, and CITIZEN now presents the Tsuno Chrono Racer 50th Anniversary AV0072-01X, which remains true to the original design while incorporating some modern flair. Limited to 3,000 individually numbered pieces worldwide, this special edition resides in a lustrous gold-toned Promaster case, commemorating the momentous anniversary.

The Tsuno Chrono Racer 50th Anniversary Model features black bullhead-style chronograph pushers at 11 and 1 o'clock, seamlessly integrating with the matching black bezel. The gold-tone winding crown at 12 o'clock and the gold-tone alarm-setting crown at 5 o'clock perfectly complement the case and dial color scheme. The dial is pleasingly arranged, featuring a black tachymeter scale with gold-toned numerals, a 60-minute counter, running seconds display, 12-hour counter, power reserve indicator, and an alarm on/off indicator. A luminous white sword handset and orange chronograph hands pop against the gold and black dial, providing exceptional visibility and legibility even in dimly lit environments.

Ensuring durability and resilience is the anti-reflective sapphire crystal and the CITIZEN Caliber E210, an Eco-Drive movement powered by ambient light that provides an impressive power reserve of eight months on a full charge. The Tsuno Chrono Racer 50th Anniversary Model is also water-resistant up to 200 meters, making it an excellent companion for those with an active lifestyle. Completing the 70's inspired package is the croc-embossed black leather strap on a deployant clasp, a beautiful gold-toned Promaster case, and a removable leather watch roll.

So if you're a collector or simply a lover of uniquely designed watches, this timepiece is sure to put a smile on your face and become a timeless classic.
