The Citizen Promaster collection consists of adventure-ready sports watches that offer high-performance features and are built for active lifestyles. The Citizen Promaster Tsuno Chrono Racer pays tribute to a celebrated vintage Citizen Bullhead chronograph model from 1973, reimagining it with modern materials and a feature-packed, solar-powered movement.
The standard-production Citizen Promaster Tsuno Chrono Racer watches feature 45mm stainless steel cases and are offered with the option of either silver or blue dials, with the silver dial version receiving a black leather strap, while the blue version is fitted with a matching stainless steel bracelet. However, Citizen also produces a limited edition version of the Tsuno Chrono Racer that features a green dial paired with a more angular 43mm case and bracelet, which are both crafted from the brand’s proprietary ‘Super Titanium’ alloy. Regardless of their differences, all of the dials feature contrasting black registers, along with luminous hands and hour markers for maximum legibility in low-light conditions. Despite having two crowns and a pair of chronograph pushers, the Citizen Promaster Tsuno Chrono Racer offers users a generous 200 meters of water resistance, making it more than capable of standing up to whatever conditions you might encounter, both on and off the race track.
Powering the Citizen Promaster Tsuno Chrono Racer is the hand-assembled E210 movement, which is part of the brand’s Eco-Drive series of light-powered calibers. In addition to being able to charge itself with any ambient light source, the E210 movement also offers users a 1/5-second chronograph, an alarm, a power reserve indicator, and a date display. Additionally, The centrally-mounted chronograph seconds hand can be used in conjunction with the tachymeter scale printed along the periphery of Tsuno Chrono Racer’s dial to measure either speed or distance while tracking lap times.

With a history that dates back to the founding of the Shokosha Watch Research Institute in 1918, Citizen Watch Co. was formally established in 1930 with the goal of creating high-quality yet accessible timepieces for the Japanese market. Headquartered in Nishitokyo, Tokyo, Japan, Citizen is one of the world's largest and most vertically-integrated watch manufacturers. In addition to producing timepieces under its own name, Citizen also serves as the parent company for a number of other brands including Bulova, Alpina, Arnold & Son, Frederique Constant, Campanola, and Miyota. Citizen’s list of horological accomplishments is both long and impressive, including everything from creating Japan’s first fully-waterproof wristwatch to currently holding the title for the world’s most accurate movement, which is capable of astonishing precision within just one second per year.
