The Citizen Series 8 collection features dynamic and geometric designs paired with high-performance automatic movements to create sophisticated sports watches that are perfectly suited for modern lifestyles. With a bold, angular case shape and a matching stainless steel bracelet, Citizen’s 831 and 870 Mechanical Watches are a refined and highly versatile timepieces that are designed to effortlessly integrate into everyday life and be a reliable contemporary timekeeping companion.

Measuring 40mm in diameter, the case of the Citizen Series 8 831 Mechanical Watch features an octagonal profile with short angular lugs, prominent separately-attached crown guards, and contrasting brushed and polished surfaces. Surrounded by a thin fixed bezel, a flat anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial of the watch, while a large push-pull style winding crown works together with the solid screw-down stainless steel caseback to help provide users with 100 meters of water resistance. A black dial with a prominent minute track and a date window at 3 o’clock functions as the backdrop for a trio of centrally-mounted hands, and luminous accents offer added visibility in low-light conditions. Fitted to the case is a solid stainless steel H-link bracelet that features brushed outer surfaces, and it is completed by a machined push-button folding clasp that is signed with the Citizen logo.

Inside the Citizen 831 Mechanical Watch resides the Caliber 9051 automatic movement, which runs at a frequency of 28,800vph (4Hz) with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. In addition to being highly magnetic resistant, the Citizen Cal. 9051 benefits from the conveniences of both hacking and hand-winding, along with being accompanied by an official accuracy rating of -10 to +20 seconds per day.

The 870 mechanical watch that features a superior accuracy of -5 to +10 per day, a polished, silver-tone stainless steel case with a two-piece bezel and flexible bracelet, a silver dial with luminous hands and markers, and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. With a diameter of 41mm, this sleek, sporty men’s automatic timepiece also features enhanced magnetic resistance to protect the movement against external magnetic fields, a 48-hour power reserve and water resistance to 100 meters. About Citizen

With a history that dates back to the founding of the Shokosha Watch Research Institute in 1918, Citizen Watch Co. was formally established in 1930 with the goal of creating high-quality yet accessible timepieces for the Japanese market. Headquartered in Nishitokyo, Tokyo, Japan, Citizen is one of the world's largest and most vertically-integrated watch manufacturers. In addition to producing timepieces under its own name, Citizen also serves as the parent company for a number of other brands including Bulova, Alpina, Arnold & Son, Frederique Constant, Campanola, and Miyota. Citizen’s list of horological accomplishments is both long and impressive, including everything from creating Japan’s first fully-waterproof wristwatch to currently holding the title for the world’s most accurate movement, which is capable of astonishing precision within just one second per year.
