Measuring 40mm in diameter, the case of the Citizen Series 8 831 Mechanical Watch features an octagonal profile with short angular lugs, prominent separately-attached crown guards, and contrasting brushed and polished surfaces. Surrounded by a thin fixed bezel, a flat anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial of the watch, while a large push-pull style winding crown works together with the solid screw-down stainless steel caseback to help provide users with 100 meters of water resistance. A black dial with a prominent minute track and a date window at 3 o’clock functions as the backdrop for a trio of centrally-mounted hands, and luminous accents offer added visibility in low-light conditions.
