The 1970 is Dan Henry’s version of a dive watch. Paying tribute to the “super-compressor” dive watches of the mid-century, the 1970 is a dual-crown diver with an internal bezel and automatic movement (the only mechanical Dan Henry’s currently available). Revered for their dressier appearance, dual-crown divers mix sport with a sense of refined style like no other watches. Big domed crystals house layered dials with lumed chapter rings and markers, while the normally external dive bezel, a critical tool for scuba-fans of the era, is moved inside allowing for smaller sized watches. Due to their unique style, these hold a special place in the hearts of vintage watch collectors.
The 1970’s are powered by the Seiko NH35 automatic movement. This Japanese workhorse is highly dependable and features 24-jewels, date, hand-winding, 41-hour power reserve, a frequency of 21,600 bph and hacking seconds (the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out).
The watch is accompanied by a tropical-style rubber strap and a canvas strap roll. Limited edition of 1970 pieces.
Please note that the 1970’s are available in 40mm (pictured here) and 44mm diameters to fit different sized wrists.

Since their start in 2016, Dan Henry has quickly become one of the highest-profile micro brands in the enthusiast community. Founded by esteemed namesake collector Dan Henry and based out of his native Brazil, the brand takes its inspiration from Henry’s extensive collection of vintage timepieces to present expressions of some of the greatest watchmaking styles of the early and mid twentieth century. While Henry himself maintains his massive archive of historic timepieces, the extreme rarity and value of some of these pieces drove him to create a brand that would make that style accessible to every enthusiast.
