The Oris ChronOris is a spin on a 70’s chronograph with the same name. This time, rather than being a chunky chrono, Oris went for a more wearable dual-crown general purpose sport watch design. Featuring a barrel case, the ChronOris has a casual, cool vintage vibe to it. This is a watch that will feel as at home on your wrist on the race track as on a surfboard.
Coming in at a very wearable 39mm, the ChronOris is a great everyday casual design. The case features exquisite radial brushing mixed with broad polished bevels that pop. Two massive crowns stud the right side, the lower controlling the internal bezel that can be used to track elapsed time via the bright orange seconds hand. The dial has classic racing and bold graphic elements giving it an abundance of style.
Part of the proceeds of the ChronOris Movember edition go to help support the Movember cause.
Inside of the Oris ChronOris is the Oris 733 / Sellita SW 200 movement. This is a 26-jewel Swiss-made automatic with 38-hour power reserve, hacking seconds, date, and a frequency of 28,800 bph. It’s a very reliable and robust automatic that will keep great time.

The rich history of Oris dates back to 1904, when Paul Cattin and Georges Christian founded the brand in Hölstein, Switzerland, where it is still based. Over the past century, Oris has reached many great achievements, including being one of the 10 largest watch brands in the world in the 1960’s. Since the 1980’s, Oris has pursued a catalog of unique mechanical watches that has channeled their independent spirit. From their patented Worldtimer to their depth gauge diver to their mechanical altimeter pilot’s watch, Oris has continued to innovate in a way few other brands can match. An achievement that is highlighted by the brand’s commitment to fare, and accessible prices.
