Dive into the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the G-SHOCK Master of G Frogman family of full-fledged diver’s watches with ISO-standard 200-meter water resistance.
The ever-popular second-generation Frogman, the DW8200, made quite a splash when it launched back in the 1990s1993, with its high-impact asymmetrical design featuring a resin bezel and titanium case.
More than just a revival of this original design, the GW8230B represents a new evolution — it is the first Frogman to use Earth-friendly biomass plastics in the bezel and band. Add Tough Solar powered by a solar panel designed especially to reproduce the shape of the DW8200 dial, and you have a special diver’s watch that goes the extra mile to reduce environmental impact.
This limited edition reprises the a popular DW8200B-9A black and gold color scheme while adding high-tech functions to bring state-of-the-art 21st century technology to 1990s design. The back of the titanium case and the LED backlight both display a special Frogman 30th anniversary design.

G-SHOCK was born from a simple idea — a watch should not break when dropped. Back in 1983, the original square-shaped DW-5000C was created after Kikuo Ibe witnessed a child bouncing a rubber ball. It struck him that a watch floating within a rubber case would be impervious to shocks. After a bunch of testing and design with toughness in mind, the brand was born. Nearly 35 years and hundreds of models later, G-SHOCK is still best known for being some of the toughest, hard-wearing watches that money can buy.
