The Paulin Neo series is the company’s hit collaboration watch created in partnership with fellow Scottish brand anOrdain. Drawing its visual inspiration from Postmodernism, the Neo is more than just a collaboration between two neighboring watchmaking companies, as the founders from the two brands are actually married to each other. This not only explains the nature of the collaboration itself and why it is anOrdain’s watchmakers who assemble the Neo, but it is also undoubtedly responsible for the remarkable degree of harmony that exists throughout the model.
The 38mm brushed stainless steel case measures 11.6mm thick and features drilled lugs that accept a standard 18mm strap. Sitting at the heart of the watch is a handmade anodized aluminum dial, which is manufactured entirely within the UK and showcases a bespoke typeface that was developed entirely in-house and informs the distinct design language of the centrally-mounted hands. A signed push-pull crown, along with a display caseback and a box-shaped Hesalite crystal all work together to provide the Paulin Neo with a classic overall aesthetic, while simultaneously allowing it to offer users 50 meters of water resistance.
Powering the Paulin Neo series is the tried and true Seiko NH35A automatic movement, which offers reliable and proven timekeeping performance along with a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. In addition to its rock-solid design and proven track record for dependability, the popularity of the Seiko NH35A guarantees easy service and repairs that can be carried out by virtually any qualified watchmaker in the entire world.
The Paulin Neo C offers a colorful and playful dial that features a bright blue surface with a subtle horizontal graining texture, light pink numerals, and rich golden-orange accents. The blocky hour and minute hands are finished black to provide a high-contrast display and match the calendar disc, while the seconds hand appears in bright red for an additional pop of contrasting color. Completing the Paulin Neo C is a gray two-piece suede strap that is fitted with a Paulin-signed stainless steel pin buckle.
