Built on the MT-G form factor, this bold watch features a 52x51x12mm case. Instead of the standard digital G-Shock dial, there’s an analog display with three sub-dials that make up for the lack of LCDs. The watch is capable of displaying dual time, 27 different time zones, a 1-second stop watch that can count to 24 hours, a countdown timer, daily alarm, LED backlight, and more. You can control the watch via Bluetooth connection to your phone too. The watch charges via solar power and will run for 5 months without any exposure to light. Of course you get all of the tough features you’d expect like considerable shock resistance and 200M of water resistance.
The coolest thing about this G is the colorful treatment on the bezel and case. For the bezel, they’ve taken stainless steel and treated it with a recrystallization process. This deep-layer hardening technique gives the bezel a unique patterned appearance with varying degrees of crystalline grain. The bezel is then treated with a rainbow ion-plated coating that features a wide range of colors, from yellow to green to purple. The case and caseback have also been treated with the rainbow IP coating, giving the entire watch a fun and colorful look. Mounted on a purple soft urethane strap, finished with a rose gold keeper and purple ion-plated buckle, the MT-G is not for the faint of heart.
