DW5600RL-1A
G-SHOCK has spent forty years distilling the rugged digital tool watch down to its essence. The Origin collection celebrates the brand's rich history of relentless pursuit. Paying tribute to the original DW-5000C-1A from 1983, G-SHOCK has taken four of its most popular models, descendants of the watch that started it all, and added a new colorway inspired by its signature primary shades of red (brand color), blue (200 meter water resistance), and yellow (Shock Resistance).
Citizen’s Beloved Do-It-All Diver!
Citizen has been building quality dive watches and dive instruments since the 1960s, but their beloved Aqualand dive watch line was introduced in 1985. It was a revolutionary watch, the first to introduce a digital display in conjunction with a depth gauge. The Aqualand was an instant hit and was considered the gold standard for such watches. The Promaster line debuted a few years later and, to this day, represents the best of Citizen’s sport-focused watches. The modern day Citizen Promaster Aqualand sacrifices none of its technical chops and continues to be a cult classic.
The Famous “Devil Diver” - Water Resistant to 666 Feet
The Bulova Archive Series is the brand’s tribute to the most memorable moments and celebrated watch designs from the company’s long and illustrious history. The Oceanographer series revives Bulova’s fan-favorite dive watch from the 1970s, which was nicknamed the “Devil Diver” due to having a water resistance rating of 666 feet.
One of the best divers under $1000
Introduced over seven decades ago, Tissot’s Seastar line continues to mark the brand’s premier line of water-resistant watches. The Le Locle firm’s latest offering — the Seastar 1000 — honors that past while combining modern looks and Swiss manufacturing into a diver’s watch rated to, you guessed it, 1,000 ft (330 meters).
A well made, well proportioned, 42mm diver
Their dive watch, the Nereide (or “Sea Nymph”), is fittingly inspired by the Venetian-built submarine of the same name launched in 1913. The 42mm Ceramica is one of the most traditional in the Nereide collection, featuring a pair of classic enamel dials in black and white with aquamarine accents. Both are paired with a black ceramic bezel and feature flat sapphire crystals. With 200m of water resistance, the sleek design is ready for more than topside duty. The Ceramica is fitted to a three-link stainless steel bracelet that effortlessly blends style and performance.
