Just last week, Formex released its most ambitious watch to date, the Aria. The Aria is an exceptionally thin and meticulously finished integrated sports watch built around Formex’s first-ever manufacture caliber. At the heart of this watch is the FX01, a movement co-developed with Horage that features an impressive 72 hours of power reserve, flexible gear train, and COSC Chronometer certification, all while being only 2.9mm thick. Thanks to a custom tungsten rotor, the FX01 is 55% more efficient than traditional micro-rotors, meaning that one hour on the wrist converts into about 10 hours of power reserve.

With a name that’s quite literally the Italian word for “air,” it shouldn’t be a surprise that the Aria is lightweight, weighing just 78 grams with the bracelet and 37g without. Every surface of the grade 5 titanium case and links are individually hand finished with either meticulous polishing or vertical brushing, resulting in exceptional finishing. Hidden within the clasp is Formex’s patented micro-adjust system, which allows for 3mm of travel on each side of the clasp, or 6mm in total, without the need to open the clasp or remove the watch from your wrist. The Formex Aria Founders Edition is limited to just 100 pieces in total, with the distribution of colors decided by the orders received, and is expected to deliver in September of 2026.

FOR THOSE WHO VALUE DURABILITY

Afaithful tribute to the original G-SHOCK DW5000C that started it all, the DW5000R-1A revisits the historic design while adding modern upgrades. Now in a slightly larger case, measuring 42.3mm in diameter and 48.9mm lug-to-lug, G-SHOCK has exchanged traditional resin for a new bio-resin developed to help reduce environmental impact. At its core, the modern 3576 module offers all of the features you’ve come to expect, like an LED light, a stopwatch, a full auto-calendar, and an alarm, while being protected by a stainless steel case. An upgraded, screw-down caseback provides an additional 100 meters of water resistance, meaning this watch can survive depths up to 200 meters. The DW5000R-1A represents an ideal blend of heritage-inspired design combined with modern features that make it exceptionally durable, if your father figure is hard on gear like mine!
