Coming off the first 90’s-inspired collaboration with Zodiac Watches is a new player in the lineup. The Zodiac x Worn & Wound Super Sea Wolf Laser Tag edition is chock full of 90’s nostalgia goodness. Inspired by the sights and sensations of gearing up and hitting the laser tag area, this watch features a ton of unique design cues that neither Worn & Wound nor Zodiac have done before. While our presentation of the watch is pure laser tag-induced fun, it’s a surprisingly versatile timepiece that’s sure to bring some color into your collection. Let’s take a closer look.
Comprised of two models, this limited edition features watches for the “Team Infrared” and the “Team Ultraviolet”. The first being a rich, dark red dial and bezel with colorful pops of blue and pink throughout. The second is a dark navy with pops of green, blues, and pinks. The watch was designed to come alive under black light, featuring multiple luminous applications on the dial, case, and strap – a first for Zodiac.
There’s a lot to love about the dial, including the double application of lume on the array pattern and chapter ring. A gray PVD case includes some really interesting finishing, including carved out channels in the case that are filled with luminous material, highlighting the case geometry. In the dark, the case disappears and all that remains are the lines.
At its core, the watch is a Super Sea Wolf – a fully-fledged dive watch that’s packed with quality specs. 200 meters of water resistance, a rotating unidirectional bezel, and a sapphire crystal make the watch durable, even if you’re outside of the laser area, these watches will be getting comments from those around you. Inside, an STP 1-21 movement with 26 jewels, hand winding and hacking abilities, and a power reserve of 40 hours keeps track of the time.
If you’ve been eyeing this edition, act now before they’re gone. Each color is limited to 282 units and is now available in the Windup Watch Shop. Both the Infrared and Ultraviolet models retail for $1595 and ship on a printed leather strap with hook and loop closure but that doesn’t mean they don’t look amazing on a variety of other strap options.
