Words by Windup Watch Shop

Father’s day is just around the corner (June 21st), so you know what time it is - guide time. While probably anything in the Windup Watch Shop would make a good Father’s day gift, below you’ll find a list of products that we think are particularly good choices to consider. No point in wasting time, let’s get to it.

Haveston Service Dial Coasters

The clever chaps over at Haveston, who are experts in all things mil-watch, have come up with these incredible coaster sets. Based on iconic dials from military watches from the 20th century, they’ve turned something rare and hard to come by into a 3D home-good you can touch, feel and enjoy daily. There are two sets available, each contains four coasters with different dial designs. At $22 a set, this one is a no-brainer. Is your dad a military buff? Check. Does he like beverages? Check. Does he like coasters? Doesn’t matter, he will now. Available here

Spring + Gears Prints

Inside of every great watch is a great movement. Springs + Gears celebrates these incredible machines with exacting, architectural drawings turned into beautiful letterpress prints that can be hung on the wall. With many movements available, in multiple sizes and colors, there is likely an option that will resonate with your pops. In fact, we just added Rolex 1520 prints, which was the movement found in 5513 Subs, and Seiko 6139 prints, one of the world’s first automatic chronographs and a cult favorite. Starting at $30

One Eleven x VSSL Field Survival Kit

What’s better than getting dad one thing? Getting him one thing that is actually many things! This awesome collaboration between One Eleven and VSSL includes a rugged solar-powered field watch with 100m of water resistance, and a special “survival” kit put together by VSSL. That latter part might leave you wondering what we’re talking about, so let’s dive a little deeper.

VSSL is a brand that makes outdoors gear that packs into precision machined, water-proof aluminum tubes, making them compact, tough, lightweight and easy to carry accessories for adventure. For this collab, they made a kit that features some very necessary essentials like an LED flashlight that can pulse SOS, a whistle, a compass, a carabiner, a mini first aid kit, and a fire starting kit. But also some things that are for fun, such as two shot glasses, a bottle opener, and a set of dice.

So, if your dad is the outdoorsy type, likes a good campfire, or is just into gear (like us) this kit will definitely be a hit. $225, available now.

Windup Watch Shop Gift Cards

Last, but far from least, is the mighty, but humble digital gift card. Let’s face it, with watches, there are a lot of variables to take into consideration, from lug widths to subtle color combinations, when picking out a strap or accessory. So, sometimes it’s better to just let the person you are buying a gift for choose for themselves. Gift cards are available here
