The Baltic Bi-Compax chronograph and three-hand HMS are a duo of '40s inspired watches. Originally launched in 2017, they feature 38mm cases with stepped bezels and large domed acrylic crystals that clearly speak to early twentieth century timepieces. Updated for 2020, and first available through this set of collaboration watches, the watches received a face lift in the form of new sector dial. More complex, textured, and formal than the original, they are even more deeply rooted in the '40s aesthetic Baltic has honed.

The Worn & Wound collaboration editions of the Bi-Compax and HMS not only feature the new design, they feature an exclusive Salmon coloration. A gorgeous copper-hue, the color continues the vintage theme and adds a level of richness, depth, and luxury that makes the sector design really stand out. The use of texture on this dial is truly remarkable, mixing rough graining with circular brushing to achieve a high-end appearance.

To properly complement both the look and attitude of the Salmon dial, we had custom dark navy blue shell cordovan straps made for this project in Germany. The dark navy blue is an ideal match, being a bit softer than black, less warm than brown, which might have clashed, and just a touch exotic as well. The combination works perfectly. Whether as a dress watch, a work watch, or just a classy everyday timepiece, the Baltic X Worn & Wound Collaboration Limited Editions will look great on your wrist.

Inside of the Bi-Compax is the Sea-Gull ST1901 manual-wound chronograph movement. The Chinese manufactured movement is exceptionally unique, being based on the Venus 175, a Swiss caliber from the mid-twentieth century. Staying true to the original, it's a column-wheel chronograph, which is unheard of in affordable modern chronographs. The ST1901 features 19-jewels and a frequency of 21,600 bph.

The HMS features the Miyota 821A movement. The 821A is a 21-jewel automatic,  movement that can be hand-wound, has a 42-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600 bph. The 821A is a reliable mechanical three-hand movement that will keep good time for years to come.

There are 100 Baltic X Worn & Wound Collaboration Limited Editions per style available, each with a unique number on the case-back. However, we are not offering number selection.
