The G‑SHOCK Full Metal “Origin” Series celebrates both the heritage and evolution of Casio’s most iconic designs. Drawing on the legendary DW‑5000C from 1983, these limited-production models reinterpret the past with state‑of‑the‑art materials, solar‑powered technology, and the original tri‑color accents that symbolize the DNA of G‑SHOCK: red for toughness, blue for water resistance, and yellow for shock protection.

Two distinct case styles give enthusiasts a choice in expression: the GMW‑B5000D‑1C recreates the original square 5000 form with a positive LCD for unmatched legibility, while the GM‑B2100SD‑1C brings the beloved octagonal “CasiOak” silhouette into the full‑metal lineup. Both feature stainless steel cases with refined hairline and mirror‑polish finishes, resin cushioning to preserve shock resistance, and durable stainless steel bracelets with slide‑adjust clasps for a precise fit. At just over 165 grams each, they wear with a premium weight without sacrificing comfort.

Inside, both models are powered by Tough Solar and enhanced with Bluetooth® connectivity for smartphone link functions, including automatic time correction and world time across 300+ cities. The GMW‑B5000D‑1C further includes Multi‑Band 6 atomic timekeeping, ensuring pinpoint accuracy anywhere in the world. With 200 meters of water resistance, LED illumination, full auto calendar, and classic stopwatch and alarm functions, the Full Metal Origin Series delivers everything G‑SHOCK is known for — in a sleek, elevated, full‑metal design.

About G-Shock

G-SHOCK was born from a simple idea — a watch should not break when dropped. Back in 1983, the original square-shaped DW-5000C was created after Kikuo Ibe witnessed a child bouncing a rubber ball. It struck him that a watch floating within a rubber case would be impervious to shocks. After a bunch of testing and design with toughness in mind, the brand was born. Nearly 35 years and hundreds of models later, G-SHOCK is still best known for being some of the toughest, hard-wearing watches that money can buy.
