Crafted by Casio, the MRG‑B2000 “Kurogane‑iro” models pay homage to traditional Japanese craftsmanship and forged iron aesthetics. As part of the prestigious MR-G line, each piece is hand-assembled in Casio’s premium Yamagata factory and reflects a commitment to craftsmanship rarely seen in modern watchmaking. “Kurogane-iro,” meaning “iron black” in Japanese, is inspired by the heat-tempered armor worn by ancient samurai—evoking strength, resilience, and dignity.

Both variants feature a 49.8mm x 54.7mm x 16.9mm case, 200m water resistance, and full Made in Japan heritage. The MRG‑B2000BG‑3A dazzles with a full titanium case and bracelet coated in green DLC and highlighted with gold-tone accents across the bezel, screws, and crown. The MRG‑B2000RG‑3A complements this spirit with a deep-layer hardened green DLC-plated titanium case and bezel made from recrystallized titanium, paired with a Dura Soft fluoro-rubber band sporting a traditional Bishamon-kikko pattern (based on a tortoise's shell).

Both variants are powered by Module 5652, featuring Tough Solar, Multi‑Band 6 atomic timekeeping, Bluetooth® smartphone linkage, Super Illuminator LED light, and an automatic hand-reset function for supreme accuracy.

About G-Shock

G-SHOCK was born from a simple idea — a watch should not break when dropped. Back in 1983, the original square-shaped DW-5000C was created after Kikuo Ibe witnessed a child bouncing a rubber ball. It struck him that a watch floating within a rubber case would be impervious to shocks. After a bunch of testing and design with toughness in mind, the brand was born. Nearly 35 years and hundreds of models later, G-SHOCK is still best known for being some of the toughest, hard-wearing watches that money can buy.
