This year has been a celebration of G-Shock and 40 year of toughness. As the year comes to a close, G-SHOCK comes down the stretch with the 40th Anniversary Carbon Edition 5000 Series, a watch that embodies strength and toughness like no other. This incredible timepiece celebrates the evolution of G-SHOCK, constantly pushing the boundaries of functionality, performance, and materials while staying true to its iconic design.

The 40th Anniversary Carbon Edition takes the quest for toughness to new heights with its innovative use of three different carbon materials. The bezel and band are crafted from forged carbon, a material that can be shaped into intricate designs, while the clasp's folding arm is made of multilayer carbon, known for its exceptional strength. The carbon 45mm monocoque case is constructed with carbon fiber-reinforced resin, combining lightness and rigidity to create a watch that is both strong and lightweight.

Inspired by the unique texture of the forged carbon, the color schemes of the anniversary edition evoke the mesmerizing beauty of the Milky Way's hazy band of light. You have two captivating options to choose from: the GCW-B5000UN-1 features a pattern of mixed black and grey (Nebula Black), while the GCW-B5000UN-6 pairs black carbon fiber with blue and pink colored resin (Astro Purple), adorned with opal specks for a mysteriously enchanting appearance. It's worth noting that due to the nature of forged carbon, each watch's bezel, band, and clasp will have a unique pattern, color tone, and distribution of opal powder on its surface, making each piece truly one-of-a-kind.

Beyond its striking design, the 40th Anniversary Carbon Edition is packed with functionality through the 3543 module. Download the dedicated app and connect your smartphone via Bluetooth® for seamless integration. With Multiband 6 radio control for precise automatic timekeeping, the Tough Solar charging system, a high-brightness full auto LED backlight, world time, day display in six languages, and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, this timepiece elevates your performance to new heights.

About G-Shock

G-SHOCK was born from a simple idea — a watch should not break when dropped. Back in 1983, the original square-shaped DW-5000C was created after Kikuo Ibe witnessed a child bouncing a rubber ball. It struck him that a watch floating within a rubber case would be impervious to shocks. After a bunch of testing and design with toughness in mind, the brand was born. 40 years and hundreds of models later, G-SHOCK is still best known for being some of the toughest, hard-wearing watches that money can buy.
