The 1962 is Dan Henry’s tribute to the racetrack chronographs of the mid-twentieth century. Worn by drivers and celebrities of the day, the external bezeled, three-eye chronograph has become unmatched in its iconic style. Sporty by design yet surprisingly refined in execution, these watches have a devil-may-care attitude that immediately gives their wearers a few cool points. At 39mm with exceptional finishing, Dan Henry has captured the charm of these watches in a remarkably affordable package.
The 1962 is powered by the Seiko VK64 Meca-Quartz Chronograph caliber. This Japanese-made hybrid movement mixes a mechanical chronograph mechanism with quartz time regulation, for the best of both worlds. The chronograph center-hand sweeps at 1/5th second intervals for smooth motion and all hands instantly reset. Additionally you’ll find a 60-minute totalizer at the nine position and a 24-hour hand at three. Battery life is approximately 36 months.

Since their start in 2016, Dan Henry has quickly become one of the highest-profile micro brands in the enthusiast community. Founded by esteemed namesake collector Dan Henry and based out of his native Brazil, the brand takes its inspiration from Henry’s extensive collection of vintage timepieces to present expressions of some of the greatest watchmaking styles of the early and mid twentieth century. While Henry himself maintains his massive archive of historic timepieces, the extreme rarity and value of some of these pieces drove him to create a brand that would make that style accessible to every enthusiast.
