Paying tribute to the “super-compressor” dive watches of the mid-century, the 1970 is a dual-crown diver with an internal bezel and automatic movement. Revered for their dressier appearance, dual-crown divers mix sport with a sense of refined style like no other watches. Featuring domed crystals that house layered dials with lumed chapter rings and markers, the normally external dive bezel, a critical tool for scuba-fans of the era, is moved inside allowing for a smaller fit. Due to their unique style, these hold a special place in the hearts of vintage watch collectors.

For the Dan Henry x Worn & Wound 1970 Limited Edition we took additional inspiration from the exceeding rare and highly coveted Enicar Sherpa-Ops. A dual-crown diver from the 60's/70's it featured a unique black, gray and orange colorway, and, more notably, was available in a black PVD case, which was very uncommon at the time. The 1970 LE features a palette based on this design, and is also available in either PVD, a first for the 1970, or brushed steel.

The 1970 Worn & Wound LE are powered by the Seiko NH35A automatic movement. This Japanese workhorse is highly dependable and features 24-jewels, hand-winding, 41-hour power reserve, a frequency of 21,600 bph and hacking seconds (the second hand stops when the crown is pulled out).

The Dan Henry x Worn & Wound 1970 Limited Edition features an inscribed case-back featuring "Limited Edition for W&W" and the serial number of the watch out of 150 units per color.

Dan Henry

Since their start in 2016, Dan Henry has quickly become one of the highest-profile micro brands in the enthusiast community. Founded by esteemed namesake collector Dan Henry and based out of his native Brazil, the brand takes its inspiration from Henry’s extensive collection of vintage timepieces to present expressions of some of the greatest watchmaking styles of the early and mid twentieth century. While Henry himself maintains his massive archive of historic timepieces, the extreme rarity and value of some of these pieces drove him to create a brand that would make that style accessible to every enthusiast.
