G-SHOCK’s “MT-G” series consists of premium models that pair advanced internal modules with metal exterior case components to create an elevated take on the brand’s legendary bomb-proof wristwatch. The G-SHOCK MTGB3000 series features an entirely analog display that is protected by carbon-reinforced resin enclosed by ion-plated stainless steel for an ultra-durable yet refined overall package.

Featuring an advanced Dual Core Guard structure, the 50.9mm by 51.9mm case of the MTGB3000 features a carbon-reinforced resin middle section that is enclosed by a steel bezel and a specially-formed steel case-back that extends upwards on the sides to meet the bezel and offer protection for the crown and buttons. The case-back’s unique integrated design also allows it to serve as the lugs for the watch, which include an innovative quick-release system that enables instantaneous tool-free strap changes. Fitted with a high-transparency sapphire crystal with a glare-resistant coating, the MTGB3000 measures just 12.1mm thick, making it significantly thinner than its predecessors without sacrificing any of the G-SHOCK collection’s legendary impact-resistance or durability. Completing the watch is either a soft urethane strap or a layered-composite bracelet, which consists of hollow metal segments encasing resin internal parts.

Powering the MTGB3000 series is Casio’s 5672 module, which offers a completely analog display yet still retains all of the same advanced features and functions that are characteristic of a premium G-SHOCK watch. In addition to offering the time, a full calendar, and an LED backlight, the MTGB3000 also includes a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, and world time feature, along with the added convenience of solar charging, radio-controlled timekeeping, and Bluetooth connectivity for easy configuration and time synchronization with the Casio G-SHOCK app.

About G-Shock

G-SHOCK was born from a simple idea — a watch should not break when dropped. Back in 1983, the original square-shaped DW-5000C was created after Kikuo Ibe witnessed a child bouncing a rubber ball. It struck him that a watch floating within a rubber case would be impervious to shocks. After a bunch of testing and design with toughness in mind, the brand was born. Nearly 35 years and hundreds of models later, G-SHOCK is still best known for being some of the toughest, hard-wearing watches that money can buy.
