Fresh in at the Windup Watch Shop is a budding brand out of Los Angeles, California - Collins Watch Co. After launching a successful line of made in America eyewear, Jimmy Collins, the founder of the brand decided to pursue his other passion — watches. Each of the Collins watches is designed, assembled, and tested in the USA. After launching via Kickstarter, the brand found its footing and nailed their design language down, culminating in several lines of watches.

The current Collins lineup consists of three bold and modern watches: a diver, and two with aviation roots. Each of their watches is surprisingly affordable, especially given the level of finish and features on each. There are several dial options for each, and we’re proud to be carrying them in the Windup Watch Shop. Here’s a rundown on what’s new:

Collins Sonar

Collins’ newest watch is the Sonar - a bold dive watch that has touches of luxury throughout. Sized just right, the 39.5mm stainless steel case features fine brushed and polished surfaces throughout, with polished applied indices adorning the dial. The case is good for 300m of water resistance, and sports a scratch resistant sapphire crystal up top and a solid steel case back on the opposite site. Inside, there’s a regulated Sellita SW-200 automatic movement keeping the time. You can choose the Sonar in one of three bold dial colors - black, blue, or green. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

Collins Hyperion

This 40mm aviation-inspired timepiece is an excellent choice for your a bold everyday watch. Large cardinal indices are the highlight of the dial, rendered in creamy tan “Old Radium” lume. The Hyperion sports a Swiss Sellitta SW-200 movement inside with a date-display at 4:30pm. Fine brushing on the case elevates the simple design, giving a touch of class to a rather standard case design. Up top, there’s a sapphire crystal with AR coating, and a sapphire display case on the opposite site that presents you with a view of the movement. We’re offering the Hyperion with either the matte velvet black dial, or a unique meteorite dial that’s crafted from a legitimate space rock.

Collins Bronson

Taking cues from pilots watches, the Bronson is an ideal choice for an every day watch. The blasted stainless steel case measures in at 40mm by 12.5mm thick. A flat sapphire crystal protects the dial, while a display window on the case back shows off the SII NH35 movement inside. Collins uses a unique typeface for the numerals, which gives the watch a distinct look that stands out from the pack. The Bronson is available with a matte velvet black dial with “Old Radium” numerals and a stainless bead blasted case.
