Fortis’s Marinemaster isn’t just a dive watch, though it may be taken as such at first glance. The Marinemaster series features a 120-click Gear Bezel™, Superluminova on hands and dial, and a triple gasket protected screw-down crown. The M-44 model of the Marinemaster is 44mm at the diameter and 48mm from lug-to-lug. It strikes a similar silhouette to the M-40, but in a scaled up package. Along with that added bulk comes a few perks. The case is rated 500m water resistant and the bezel is secured via a unique locking mechanism that can be loosened with the crown at ten o’clock. Here you gain access to the bi-directional, 120-click bezel. Furthermore, details from the dial are carried over to the rubber horizon strap. Optionally, you can equip your Marinemaster with a stainless steel block bracelet.

Inside the M-44 is a Kenissi WERK 11, a chronometer certified automatic movement. This Swiss made caliber features a bi-directional rotor system with a traversing bridge affixed at both ends to improve shock and vibration resistance of the balance. Tested to be both accurate and robust, this movement is also “weekend-proof” with a 70-hour power reserve. It features hacking, hand-winding, and a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour.
