When it comes to military watches, this design is a classic. The A-11 formula was among the first military watches with sweep seconds hands, and it was based on functionality dictated by US Government specifications. The Praesidus A-11 Spec 2 builds on this heritage while adding modern touches that enhance wearability and looks.

The A-11 Spec 2 is assembled in Pennsylvania and features an A-11-spec dial with triple-print Luminova. Upsized for modern tastes, the 40mm x 47mm stainless steel case features a sandblasted finish. The lugs are set 20mm apart and drilled, allowing for effortless strap changes. Protecting the dial, we have a a double-domed K1 mineral crystal with sapphire and anti-reflective coatings. Water resistance is rated to a worthy 5 ATM, .

At the heart of the A-11 beats the ultra-precise and rugged American Ameriquartz 6130 Quartz movement from FTS based out of Arizona. The movement is accurate to +/-20 seconds a month, providing the A-11 Spec 2 with a dependable level of precision.

About Praesidus

Praesidus got its start in 2019 after meeting WWII hero Tom Rice. Rice was a graduate of parachute school and jumped over Normandy for both Operation Overlord and Operation Market Garden. His subsequent experiences in the Battle of the Bulge and fruitful life after service are the foundations on which Praesidus Watches is based. Tom Rice famously lost his military watch, but the brand faithfully builds modern watches that are faithful to the specifications and design language of vintage military watches. A portion of every purchase is donated to Praesidus’ partner organizations to benefit veteran associations and communities.
