For Pilot watch enthusiasts, Laco watches really needs no introduction. Founded in 1925, they were one of the original manufacturers of German Flieger watches. Still based in Pforzheim, Germany, Laco is known for their exacting quality, exceptional finishing, and attention to design detail.
The Münster is part of Laco's line of German-made traditionally styled Fliegers. Based on archival originals, this line is as close to those from the early twentieth-century as you can get, with flat lugs, sandblasted surfaces and historical case markings. The Münster has a "Type A" dial and a 42mm case, giving it the classic look, and a bold, aggressive case.
Inside of the Münster is an elaboré grade ETA 2824-2 movement, a Swiss-made automatic workhorse movement. This caliber features 25-jewels, 38-hour power reserve, and hacking seconds (the second-hand stops when the crown is pulled out). The 2824 is a tried and true movement, thus making it a reliable favorite.

In the 1940's, only a handful of companies were selected to manufacture pilots watches for the German Airforce. Laco was one of these companies, and today they bring that heritage to their watches. You'll notice that their "original" series all feature "FL23883" engraved into the case, on the side opposite from the crown. This number indicates the watch was made to military specification for pilots.
