In the early 20th century, people envisioned a future both wondrous and bleak. Sprawling cities, both wide and tall, dominated the skyline with impossibly large, advanced structures. Made of glass, steel, and concrete, these urban landscapes were synthetic and imposing, pushing the limits of what technology could provide while maintaining a haunting beauty. Art Deco in style, they hinted at the Brutalist movements and dystopian futures to come.
The IdeaL’Idea
The cleverness and creativity of this vision are clear in its accuracy. Not knowing the rate of progress the world would see, it’s 100 years later, and while there are no flying cars, shades of the world that was present can be found in ours, for both good and bad.
As a subtle tribute to these depictions of the future and the minds that created them, we teamed up with echo/neutra for a very special version of the Rivanera. Building on the architectural design and finishing that have made the Rivanera such a success, the collaboration takes a decidedly abstract approach to the dial. In fact, it might be safer to call it a composition in metal.

The DialIl Quadrante
A drawing of depth and texture, the dial draws on Art Deco posters and features five large forms extending from the bottom of the dial. Strong vertical shapes, each consisting of two raised facets, create the effect of light and shadow. Angled tops further enhance the sense of perspective as they recede into infinity.
Above the shapes, a soleil burst creates a dynamic backdrop, giving the illusion of even greater dimensionality. An explosion of rays emanates from the center of the dial; each emerges from the surface in alternating directions. At six sits a spiraling form standing in contrast to the rest of the design. Its twisting texture is immensely complex, suggesting a portal connecting past and present. Simple black hands indicate the time, neither distracting nor receding into the space beneath.
A dial made without any printed elements, save the logo, which sits on the back of the crystal, elegantly floating over the surface; the texture creates a dynamic space. Rendered in dark titanium gray, the vertical forms feature a sweeping brushed texture, similar to Côtes de Genève, highlighting the watch’s full-metal construction.

The CaseLa Cassa
While a standalone composition, the dial works seamlessly with the signature rectangular grade 5 titanium Rivanera case. Measuring 41mm long, 27mm wide, and only 5.9mm thick, the design encapsulates the power of simple geometry. Hard straight lines, flat surfaces, and mostly 90-degree angles come together to create a watch that is both elegant and severe. Adding an industrial edge, the case is almost entirely bead-blasted to a dark matte gray, save for mirror-polished channels along the upper edge of each side.
The MovementIl Movimento
Light and incredibly thin, the Rivanera is powered by the ETA/Peseux 7001 caliber. A hand-wound movement with 17-jewels, it features a power reserve of around 40 hours and a frequency of 21,600 beats per hour. Decorated with Côtes de Genève and featuring blued-screws, the movement is visible through the display caseback.
It might be safer to call it a composition in metal.

The StrapsI Cinturini
A monochromatic timepiece in dark gray and black, it comes with two straps: shell cordovan and rubber. The shell cordovan grants a more formal aesthetic, perfect for workdays in an urban environment. The rubber is sporty but also industrial, bringing out the case’s matte finish. Both options complement the watch’s unconventional styling.
AvailabilityDisponibilità
The echo/neutra x Worn & Wound Rivanera collaboration is a limited edition of 100 pieces and is available now for $1,810. The watches are ready now and will ship immediately.
