Marathon is known for their purpose-built, mil-spec tool watches, so it should come as no surprise that they also make no-fuss alarm clocks. What makes these especially interesting, however, is that they are mechanical. Used by US and Canadian Government agencies, a quick glance at the dial lets you know the military roots of the brand. Like a field watch magnified, the dial is clear, and features large 1-12 hour numerals with a smaller 13-24 track. The blocky hands even feature small strips of lume.
In a day of cellphones and battery powered clocks, cranking up the Marathon Mechanical Alarm Clock in the morning is a nostalgic joy. It has an audible tick, and the alarm will wake you out of coma. If you're looking to decrease your reliance on electronics, or are just looking for a straightforward, easy-to-read clock, this is one for you. Available in Black or White.

Founded in 1939, Marathon Watches of Canada is a family owned company, currently in its fourth generation. Known for their military issued watches, dating back to 1941, today’s Marathon is still a major supplier of mil-spec timepieces to the US Armed forces. Designed in Canada, but made in Switzerland at Marathon’s own factory in La Chaux de Fonds, their field, pilot, and dive watches are made to the exacting standards of the military.
