The Ollech & Wajs Oceangraph is the technical sibling of the C-1000 diver. Based on the 1000m divers that debuted in the mid-60s, the modern recreations keep the spirit of the originals as well as some of the important specs. Despite having incredible water resistance, they measure a relatively modest 39.56mm x 49.5mm x 15.8mm, which includes a 5.6mm thick domed sapphire crystal. Where the two models differ is in their bezel inserts and overall coloration.

The Oceangraph specifically pays tribute to a model from 1968 that was part of the brand’s “precision” collection. Instead of a typical dive index, it features a combination of decompression / elapsed time index. The inner ring, highlighted in white, features two sets of numbers: orange on white for tracking minutes, and the inverse, for max depth. The middle ring indicates dive times for which decompression is needed. The outer ring then indicates decompression times in minutes. A very complicated and important tool, it also adds texture to the overall design and aesthetic. The dial has been matched to the bezel complimenting the blue, white, and orange design.

Powering the Ollech & Wajs C-1000 is an ETA 2824-2 Swiss-made automatic caliber. A tool watch standard, it features 25-jewels, a power reserve of 38 hours, hacking seconds, and a frequency of 28,800 beats per hour. Ollech & Wajs have modified the movement with an engraved mainplate and a customized rotor.

The Oceangraph is available on a Perlon strap or with an additional OW S-Type Mark II steel bracelet.

About Ollech & Wajs

Founded in 1956 and then re-established in 2017, Ollech & Wajs have been a pioneer in tool and sport watches for over half a century. Inspired by the past but with an eye toward the future, the current OW line stays true to the spirit of the brand, paying direct homage to many of its iconic pieces, but with a unique style that sets them apart. Watches like the C-1000, a reimagining of a revolutionary 1000m diver from 1964, maintain the rugged build and specs of the original but with a modern attitude for a new generation. Always mechanical and Swiss-made, OW maintains a great value position as well, continuing the tradition of its founders.
