Despite being a relatively young company, Norqain has firmly established itself within the industry by producing high-performing mechanical timepieces that are specifically created for those who love exploring the great outdoors. To further expand our selection of Norqain models available at the Windup Watch Shop, we are adding the Norquain Adventure Neverest Glacier with its bright white ice-inspired dial and in-house movement, plus two different versions of the Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm with its fan-favorite compact case profile and vintage-inspired design.
Norqain Adventure Neverest Glacier
The Norqain Adventure Neverest Glacier takes the brand’s highly versatile sports watch platform and gives it polar-inspired design details with a gray ceramic bezel insert and a stark white dial that features a unique “cracked” motif across its surface. The three-dimensional pattern is intended to mirror the jagged crevasses of Khumbu Icefall: the most dangerous stage of the climb to the summit Mount Everest. Norqain’s Neverest series celebrates the brand’s partnership with the Butterfly Help Project, which raises funds to support the families of sherpas who have lost their lives in the Himalayan mountains. While the Neverest line itself certainly benefits a good cause, the models from it are also highly capable sports watches that are purpose built for exploration and outdoor adventures.
The 40mm stainless steel case of the Norqain Neverest Glacier measures 12.5mm thick with a pair of sapphire crystals fitted to both the dial side of the watch and its display caseback. While the signed screw down crown helps guarantee a dive-ready 200 meters of water resistance, arguably one of the biggest selling points of Norqain’s Neverest range is that it is powered by the brand’s own in-house Caliber NN20/1 automatic movement, which is manufactured exclusively for Norqain by Kenissi, and offers true Swiss-Made chronometer certified performance with an extended power reserve of approximately 70 hours. Like all of Norqain’s models, the case of the Neverest Glacier features the brand’s signature removable plate for personalized engravings, and the watch itself is completed by a matching solid-link stainless steel bracelet that includes a latching fold-over clasp.
Norqain Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm
The Norqain Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm takes the fan-favorite retro styling of the brand’s original full-size chronograph model and shrinks it down into a more compact 40mm case — all without compromising a single thing in regards to its movement, features, or durability. While the Freedom 60 Chrono features a vintage-inspired overall aesthetic, it is a thoroughly modern timepiece when it comes to its materials and construction. A pair of sapphire crystals fitted above the dial and within the center of the display caseback work together with its screw-down winding crown to help offer users 100 meters of water resistance.
Available with the option of either a Royal Blue dial with a matching stainless steel H-link bracelet or with an Anthracite dial paired with a Nortide linen strap that is made using reclaimed #tide ocean material, both versions of the Norqain Freedom 60 Chrono 40mm feature white sub-dials, along with contrasting white rings around their outer perimeters that contain printed tachymeter scales. Powering the 40mm version of the Norqain Freedom 60 Chrono is the same Caliber NN18 automatic chronograph movement that can be found inside its larger sibling, which is based upon the venerable ETA 7753 and offers proven reliable performance, while running at a frequency of 28,800vph with a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.
