Our Top 5 Oris Watches to Own in 2026
Windup Watch Shop - January 26, 2026

Oris is one of those watch brands that’s easy to like, and even easier to keep coming back to. Founded in 1904, the fiercely independent Swiss Brand Oris has built a reputation for making mechanical watches that feel genuinely useful, thoughtfully designed, and refreshingly down-to-earth. They’re equally at home making serious dive watches, classic pilot’s pieces, and colorful, personality-packed designs that don’t take themselves too seriously. Which is a big reason we’ve been fans and retailers of Oris for quite some time.
They offer something that simply other brands do not…options. Whether it’s a heritage-inspired Pointer Date, a modern Aquis built for real-world diving, or a bold limited edition tied to environmental causes, Oris has a knack for creating watches that feel fun without feeling frivolous. And we love that they find ways to give back to the community or continue to fuel their environmental efforts. Today, we’re going to take a look at five of our favorite Oris models currently in the Windup Watch Shop.
#1 - Oris Big Crown Pointer Date “Bullseye”

The Big Crown Pointer Date is arguably Oris’ most iconic model, and this “Bullseye” edition turns that classic into a standout everyday watch with personality. Since it’s release just a few weeks ago, the press and community hasn’t been able to stop talking about it. It’s certainly already a crowd favorite. Inspired by a colorway first used over a century ago, this version pairs a striking target-style dial with the brand’s signature pointer date complication, a central hand that tracks the date around the dial’s perimeter. It’s a unique blend of playful design and practical function, making it ideal for anyone who wants something distinctive but still wearable.
Powered by a reliable Oris Calibre 754 automatic (SW-200 Based) movement and sized for modern wrists at 38mm, the Bullseye brings both heritage and flair. The oversized crown, a hallmark of the Big Crown family, adds vintage charm while remaining functional, especially for quick time/date adjustments. In short, if you want a watch that sparks conversation and still works hard in daily life, this Oris delivers.
#2 - Oris Aquis Date New York Harbor Limited Edition II

The Aquis Diver series has become a cornerstone of Oris' modern lineup, and the New York Harbor Limited Edition II is a prime example of what the collection does best. Designed to celebrate Oris’ partnership with the Billion Oyster Project and highlight the critical work of restoring New York's once thriving oyster population, this watch blends actual purpose driven storytelling with serious tool watch capability.
With a robust 300m water resistance, ceramic bezel, and bold lumed markers, the Aquis Date is as capable under water as it is striking on land. This particular model features an aqua blue mother-of-pearl dial, inspired by the harbor’s shifting waters, that gives the watch depth and presence on the wrist. This project is of course close to our hearts as the Billion Oyster Project is literally in our Brooklyn backyard. This Aquis is limited, meaningful, and unmistakably Oris.
#3 - Oris ProPilot Date

For a watch designed around the demands of flying, the Oris ProPilot Date nails clarity and function without sacrificing looks. Inspired by cockpit instruments, its dial prioritizes legibility, crisp numerals, and a no-nonsense date window at 6 o’clock give it a clean, purpose-built look. The textured bezel echoes jet-engine turbines, bringing industrial character to an everyday pilot’s piece.
This model came out in late 2025 and shines as a versatile daily wearer: rugged enough for travel, smart enough for the office. With a dependable Oris Calibre 733 automatic movement and thoughtfully size of 41mm (just 49mm lug to lug), the Oris ProPilot Date strikes an excellent balance between performance and price. If you want a tasteful, tool-oriented watch that feels at home halfway between adventure and refinement, this is a stellar choice.
#4 - Oris Big Crown Calibre 473

Now, this watch came out about 3 years ago but there’s a reason why we always bring it up as one of our favorites. The Big Crown Calibre 473 marks a significant chapter in Oris' recent history. The watch is built around an in-house movement that showcases the brand’s technical capabilities. The Calibre 473 features Oris’ Pointer date complication, with small seconds and 5-day manually wound power reserve, making it a mechanical statement piece as much as a functional watch. It’s a bold expression of what independent watchmaking can achieve when creativity meets engineering.
From afar, the watch stays true to the Big Crown DNA with a classic polished bezel, oversized crown, and a dial that’s both elegant and unexpectedly contemporary. The result is a watch that feels rooted in aviation history yet forward-looking in movement design. We think this watch is perfect for enthusiasts who appreciate mechanical prowess wrapped in iconic design.
#5 - Oris Divers Sixty-Five “Cotton Candy” Steel

Oris’ Divers Sixty-Five collection channels vintage dive watch vibes with a modern sensibility, and the “Cotton Candy” Steel model injects a splash of color into that mix. With playful pastel colored dials inspired by seaside summer festivals and retro styling that harks back to the dive watches of the 1960s, it’s an awesome watch that’s equal parts fun and wearable.
Despite the playful dial, this Divers Sixty-Five doesn’t compromise on function. It holds a respectable water resistance at 100 meters, sized in vintage styling at 38mm, and uses a dependable Oris 733 / SW 200-1 automatic movement. It’s a great pick for anyone looking to add personality to their rotation without straying from quality and heritage and frankly just wants something fun!
