It was just about a year ago that ADPT Straps, the only all American-made nylon mil-straps available, was first released. Pronounced “adapt” and standing for “All Day Purposed and Terrain,” they feature 420D nylon with a custom weave, 316L stainless steel hardware (also U.S. made) and a signature contrast stitch. Today, we’re excited to announce three new and exciting colors available now; Admiralty Gray, Mai Tai, and Thalo Blue.
Starting with the most iconic, Admiralty Gray is the true classic mil-strap color, paying homage to the original British Navy straps from the 1970’s. An incredibly handsome color, it’s dark and steely, with a strong blue/green tint. At times, it looks more like a dark faded teal than a gray, which adds to its dynamic character. This strap looks amazing on everything but really shines against aged lume. To not take away from this classic color, the thread has remained tonal, which a close to matching color for the main lines of stitch, and a slightly brighter gray for the contrast stitch. Next up is something completely different, Mai Tai. A faded orange/red hue, this unique color is meant to be a fun option for watches with light or colorful dials. Accented with red thread and an orange contrast stitch, it adds a pop to the wrist, without being too loud or aggressive, as some colors can be. This looks great with other faded colors, such as the washed-out blue of well-worn denim. Available here
Lastly is the bright and bold Thalo Blue. This color was originally developed as one of the extra straps for the Avi-8 x Worn & Wound collab V2, and due to popular demand, has been recreated as an ADPT Strap. Striking and unique, Thalo Blue is as fun as it is stylish. Accented by a sharp line of red, this is a strap for those seeking to make a statement. Thalo Blue looks great with crisp modern watches and those with a touch of color to accent. Available here
