Now that we have your attention, today we’re excited to add a brand to the shop that in many ways defines what we love about the current wave of independent micro-brands. BOLDR is a young brand based out of Singapore and Malaysia that are on a mission to create rugged adventure watches with unique, modern looks and modest price tags. Marching to the beat of their own drum, BOLDR bucks current trends in-lieu of their own philosophies on life and watchmaking. Inspired by urban exploration and the great outdoors, their watches feature specs that will live up to the sporty lifestyle they propose. From lightweight titanium cases to magnetic field protection to bright lume to substantial water resistance, they have it all. Well, expect for prohibitive prices, making them watches that everyone can enjoy.
We’re launching BOLDR today with two of their collections that are absolutely perfect for the summer. Whether spent on the trail, in a jungle, on a cliff-face, or just in the safety of your own home, these watches will be great companions.
BOLDR Venture
First is the Venture: the 200m, automatic, 38mm titanium field watches mentioned in the title. With a unique, blocky case that gives the watch its own personality, and a classic, but updated field watch dial, the Venture will be your new go-to tool watch. Featuring sapphire crystals, Seiko NH35A automatic movements, Ti cases and hardware, they are unbeatable at $299. Available in Carbon Black, Sand Storm (white dial), Navy Blue, and Jungle Green, there is a color for every taste. Available here
Boldr Expedition
Looking for something a little… bolder? The Expedition is the watch for you. A rugged adventure watch, the Expedition features a 41mm faceted steel case with a dual crown design, giving you added timing functionality. While not a dive watch, per say, a good adventure might take you underwater, so the Expedition features 200m of water resistance as well as 20,000 A/m of magnetic field protection, which surpasses DIN requirements. With an AR coated sapphire crystal, custom molded rubber strap, and the Swiss-made automatic, Sellita SW200-1 movement at its core, the Expedition is one hell of a watch for $599.
There are five versions of the Expedition currently available, each taking its name from a famous mountain. First is the Everest, which features a bold blue dial, bezel and strap. Next is the Rushmore, which has a classic black dial and bezel combo, contrasted with a green strap. Then we have the Eiger, which has a full-lume white dial with a black bezel and strap, for a truly unique appeal. Following this is the Sinai, which matches a matte black PVD case with black dial, bezel and strap, but adds in high contrast bright orange markers. Last is the Matterhorn, which is all black for a sleek, stealthy look. Pick one of these watches up for your next escapade.
