The Skindiver II Automatic in black represents Wolbrook's most advanced dive watch and is part of the limited Narwhal Edition series, with only 949 pieces produced featuring an individually numbered caseback engraving. The black lacquered dial features white BGW9 Super-LumiNova applied in seven layers for exceptional afterglow performance, while Wolbrook's iconic arrow hour hand pays homage to the brand's diving heritage from the 1960s. Beneath the glass-box sapphire crystal lies Wolbrook's HexapleX case architecture—a shock-resistant system using 3D rubber absorbers to suspend the movement in a floating configuration. The 316L stainless steel case features brushed finishes and  a 120-click unidirectional rotating bezel with engraved 60-0 markers.

At 40mm diameter with 48mm lug-to-lug and 12.7mm thickness, the Skindiver II delivers classic dive watch proportions with modern wearability while meeting ISO 6425 dive watch standards. The 20mm lugs are drilled for quick strap changes between the included rubber and bracelet options. Water resistance reaches 200 meters with screw-down crown and caseback, exceeding ISO requirements and making it suitable for serious recreational diving. The black dial configuration includes a date window at 4:30 o'clock with a color-matched disk for visual cohesion. The Narwhal Limited Edition caseback features a specially engraved narwhal design alongside the individual production number.

Inside is the Japanese Miyota 9015 automatic movement with date function, beating at 28,800 vph for smooth seconds hand sweep. Wolbrook modifies each movement in-house, matching the date disk to the black dial and regulating to ±15 seconds per day—tighter than factory spec. With a 42-hour power reserve, hacking seconds, and all hands skeletonized and filled with Super-LumiNova, it delivers proven reliability backed by a high-beat movement. What makes this Narwhal Edition special is genuine dive watch capability, thoughtful French assembly, and vintage design DNA—a tool watch built for underwater exploration that's also a numbered piece of Wolbrook's modern heritage.

About Wolbrook

Since 1949, Wolbrook has been engineering mechanical watches and chronographs built for the real world—high-speed flights, deep dives, and everything in between. The iconic Skindiver, a registered trademark since the 1960s, represents the brand's ethos perfectly: durable, approachable tool-watches with legitimate heritage you can actually trace back through decades. After the quartz crisis shuttered operations in the 1970s, Wolbrook slumbered for nearly 50 years until passionate watchmakers resurrected it in 2019—properly, not as some hollow revival. Today's Skindiver collection stays true to those 1960s originals while delivering modern specs: sapphire crystals, Swiss Super-LumiNova, and genuine tool-watch credentials, all assembled in France.
