This is the first Pokémon collaboration with G-Shock — previous Pokémon-branded Casio watches lived exclusively on the Baby-G platform. The GA-110PKM-7A uses the full-size GA-110, which gives Casio considerably more real estate to work with, and they've used it. The colorway pulls directly from the original 1996 games — red, green, and blue accents across the hands, buttons, dial, and bezel, referencing Pocket Monsters Red, Pocket Monsters Green, and Pocket Monsters Blue rather than leaning on Pikachu yellow or contemporary Pokémon branding. The result reads as a franchise anniversary piece rather than character merchandise, which is what makes it wearable as a watch rather than just displayable as a collectible.

The bezel and band are translucent resin with a white center case, and the detail work is distributed across every surface. The inset dial at 9 o'clock draws inspiration from the Poké Ball, with an indicator hand shaped like Pikachu. The band carries 30 Pokémon — three first partner Pokémon from each generation, Kanto through Paldea, plus Pikachu and Eevee, with Mew on the band loop. The caseback is engraved with a special Pokémon 30th anniversary logo. The packaging continues the theme: a Poké Ball-shaped display case inside a custom outer box featuring all 30 Pokémon.

On the spec side, the GA-110PKM-7A carries 200-meter water resistance, shock and magnetic resistance. Through the module 5146, you get world time across 29 zones, five daily alarms, a 1/1000th-second stopwatch with speed measurement, and a full auto-calendar running through 2099. The battery is a CR1220 with an approximate two-year life. The GA-110 platform hasn't been modified for the collaboration — this is the same construction that makes the GA-110 a working watch, not a display piece.

About G-SHOCK

G-SHOCK was born from a simple idea — a watch should not break when dropped. Back in 1983, the original square-shaped DW-5000C was created after Kikuo Ibe witnessed a child bouncing a rubber ball. It struck him that a watch floating within a rubber case would be impervious to shocks. After a bunch of testing and design with toughness in mind, the brand was born. Nearly 35 years and hundreds of models later, G-SHOCK is still best known for being some of the toughest, hard-wearing watches that money can buy.
