TWO REMAINING. READY TO SHIP.
The iconic square profile of the original 1983 G‑SHOCK reaches its pinnacle with the MRG‑B5000HT‑1, a timepiece that merges traditional Japanese metalwork with next-generation engineering. Built at Casio’s Premium Production Line in Japan, this limited-edition MR‑G is finished with a hand-hammered “tsuiki” bezel and bracelet—each one individually crafted by master metalsmith Kazuya Watanabe. The process ensures that every watch features a one-of-a-kind “yuragi” pattern, connecting wearer to maker in an intimate and tactile way.
Crafted from DAT55G titanium alloy—a material three times harder than pure titanium and highly corrosion-resistant—the case is finished with a dark diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating for exceptional scratch protection and shine. Despite its robust build, it wears effortlessly thanks to carefully engineered proportions: 43.2mm wide, 49.4mm lug-to-lug, and 12.9mm thick, with a total weight of just 112 grams. A screw-lock caseback, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and finely articulated bracelet complete the premium package.
While it celebrates centuries-old craftsmanship, the MRG-B5000HT‑1 is equipped with modern G‑SHOCK functionality including Multi-Band 6 atomic timekeeping, Bluetooth® smartphone link, Tough Solar charging, and a full suite of features like world time, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarms, Super Illuminator LED light, and phone finder. Limited to just 500 pieces worldwide, this piece bridges traditional technique and digital precision like no other G‑SHOCK before it.

G-SHOCK was born from a simple idea — a watch should not break when dropped. Back in 1983, the original square-shaped DW-5000C was created after Kikuo Ibe witnessed a child bouncing a rubber ball. It struck him that a watch floating within a rubber case would be impervious to shocks. After a bunch of testing and design with toughness in mind, the brand was born. Nearly 35 years and hundreds of models later, G-SHOCK is still best known for being some of the toughest, hard-wearing watches that money can buy.
