Crafted in the heart of Saxony’s watchmaking town, the Purist Type 1 from DUG Glashütte offers a modern, understated take on German‑made timekeeping excellence. With clean dial design, refined case finishing and a Swiss‑based but locally modified automatic movement, this watch is for those who appreciate subtlety, heritage and mechanical honesty. 

In order for a watch to have Glashütte on the dial, it must meet the requirement of having at least 50% of the value of the watch must be created in Glashütte, a designation only a handful of brands meet. DUG meets these requirements and has packaged them in quite a compelling offering.

The case spans 40 mm in diameter and measures approx. 10.95 mm thick, crafted in 316L stainless steel and finished with precise brushing and polishing lines. It pairs with a 20 mm lug width and a choice of bracelet or leather strap. A domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the open case‑back reveals the automatic calibre. Water resistance is rated at 100 m. 

Inside beats the in‑house modified calibre DUG 400 (based on Sellita SW400) offering hours, minutes and seconds with a 40‑hour power reserve. Expanding your overall options, you can choose to have a date complication or omit one.
