The Spitfire D-Day 80 Royal British Legion Limited Edition will begin to ship in Mid-June.

AVI-8, renowned for their dedication to aviation-inspired timepieces, has joined hands with the Royal British Legion (RBL) once again to unveil a remarkable creation: the Spitfire D-Day 80 Royal British Legion 24 Hour Automatic Bronze Limited Edition watch. This timepiece pays homage to the 80th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the pivotal Allied invasion of Normandy during World War II.

This collaboration with the RBL holds profound meaning, as expressed by Ben France, Head of Corporate Partnerships at the Royal British Legion "We are delighted that AVI-8 has created the Spitfire D-Day 80 Royal British Legion timepiece to commemorate this significant anniversary. The legacy of those who served during D-Day lives on in the freedom and democracy we have today, and it is important we never forget their contribution. £35 from the sale of each timepiece will go towards ensuring the RBL can continue to support veterans, serving personnel, and their families whenever they need us."

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Spitfire D-Day 80 features a 42mm bronze case, with AR coated sapphire crystal. The dial of the Spitfire D-Day 80 continues the story capturing the essence of the historical moment. It includes notable references, including the first Allied landings on Utah and Omaha beaches at 6:30 am on June 6th, 1944. These are meticulously marked, alongside Gold, Sword, and Juno beach. Adding to its design, a hydraulic press poppy graces the dial's bottom layer, symbolizing remembrance and the aspiration for a peaceful future. This iconic emblem is further incorporated into the crown, hands, caseback, and buckle, ensuring that this commemorative spirit is woven into every aspect of the timepiece.

Inside the watch, you'll find the modified M-SII-NH34-D6BKW. It's a 24 jewel automatic Japanese movement that offers a distinctive 24-hour time display, complemented by a Spitfire rotor. The power reserve for this movement is 40+ hours.

The Spitfire D-DAY 80 Royal British Legion Limited Edition comes accompanied by both a dark brown leather strap and a light brown NATO leather strap. These are elegantly presented within a nylon canvas presentation box, which also contains a strap changing tool.
