Now In The Windup Watch Shop: Nitecore x Boldr Go Prehistoric On A New Collab
Words by Windup Watch Shop

Boldr is an exciting young brand based our of Singapore and Malaysia and they really live up to their mantra of “Be Boldr”. With an impressive lineup of tool watches under their belt, Boldlr is becoming known for their serious value proposition, crafting spec-packed watches that fall within very reasonable price ranges. Today, we’re happy to announce that their newest collaboration with Nitecore is now in the Windup Watch Shop. Let’s take a look at this unique and fun meeting of the brands, where the result is a dinosaur-themed mashup that’s sure to bring out your inner child.

First off, this pairing is a serious upgrade from the Burger King x Jurassic Park collaborative watches of the 90’s. Built on Boldr’s preexisting “Defender” model, the watch is a 40mm stainless steel case that’s been treated with a durable black PVD coating. It features a California-style dial with half Arabic and half Roman numerals, adding a bit of intrigue to the watch. On the dial, an embossed T-Rex skull is raised from the matte black surface, giving it a subtle look that’s more visible when the light catches it just right. On the display caseback, there’s a T-Rex footprint-shaped window in the back that you can see the automatic SII NH35A movement through. Other notable features include 200m of water resistance, scratch resistant sapphire crystal, C3 Glow lume, and a rotating 60-minute bezel.

The collaboration also comes with a matching flashlight made by Nitecore. Based on their TINI 2 model, you’ll get up to 500 lumens out of an impossibly small, keychain-friendly design. To complement the T-Rex skull and footprint, the light features a claw mark emblazoned on the back of the light. IP54 rated for protection against water and dust damage, the TINI 2 is a great light for everyday use.

This watch and light pairing is limited to 100 pieces worldwide, and will run you $499. It’s a fun collab from two like-minded brands that aim to bring the best specs they can, while remaining attainable. Head over to the Windup Watch Shop now and snag one of these 100 sets before they go extinct.
