The Solid State Watch by CW&T is a radical reimagination of the iconic Casio F-91W, designed to strip timekeeping down to its purest form. By permanently sealing the movement inside a transparent resin case, this watch eliminates traditional buttons, setting functions, and battery changes—offering a completely maintenance-free experience. The CW&T Pen Type-B exemplifies the notion that achieving simplicity isn’t as simple as it seems. Though a minimal, clean, two-piece design consisting of a sleeve and a pen, both expertly machined in the USA from grade 5 titanium, Type-B succeeds because of its precision craftsmanship and hidden details. First, the cylindrical sleeve features a flat side preventing it from rolling away: clever. Next, inside the sleeve is an N52 neodymium magnet to secure the pen body, as well as a rubber tip protector: smart. The cylindrical pen body has a stepped tip for visibility and a hidden logo on the back of the screw that holds in the ink cartridge.
