The Q Timex' are homages to the brand’s early quartz timepieces from the 1970s. When first released, quartz was cutting-edge technology that eventually turned the watch industry on its head. Precise and inexpensive, quartz represented the future of watchmaking. As a forward-thinking brand, Timex adopted this technology and created many truly unique designs around it. The Qs exemplify this with their extremely ‘70s case and dial designs.

The Q Timex 1975 Reissue Day-Date is more subdued than some of its siblings, providing a more classic look and feel that is still very of the era. The 37mm barrel case in all polished steel is eye-catching, having a sophistication that belies its price tag. The massive box acrylic crystal will have vintage fans in awe. The dial is toned down, featuring a vertically brushed metal surface in steel-tone with applied markers, black highlights and polished hands. It’s a monochromatic affair that can be dressed up or down.

Powering the 1975 is a Seiko quartz caliber for reliable timekeeping. A nice feature to this movement is the day/date indicator shown at three on the dial. Additionally, the case has been designed with an easy-access battery hatch, allowing you to swap the battery at home.
