Nomadic Watches is an independent watchmaker founded in 2021 by Belfast engineer Peter McAuley, named after the SS Nomadic, the last remaining White Star Line ship in the world. Every watch is hand-built in Belfast and features a yellow seconds hand as a nod to the city's iconic Samson and Goliath shipyard cranes. In 2025 the brand opened a flagship store in Belfast city centre with a glass-walled workshop where visitors can watch the watchmakers at work, all part of its motto: "Make Progress," on a mission to put Ireland on the watchmaking map.
