The HGP Diver 200M Automatic Commando is the brand's mid-range automatic diver — a Monnin 844 case watch with a no-date Seiko NH38 inside, rated to 200 meters, and dressed in the same black-dial, lume-first aesthetic that defined the French frogman watches HGP was originally built around. It's a clean, purposeful layout: black aluminum bezel insert with C3 Super-LumiNova markers at 12 o'clock and every major elapsed-time position, skeletonized hands filled with lume throughout, and seven layers of Swiss Super-LumiNova on all dial indices. Two variants split the lineup on lume tone — C3 bright white for maximum afterglow, and "Old Radium" warm cream for the collectors who want the vintage patina look without waiting fifty years for it.

The 42mm Monnin 844 case measures 13.2mm thick and 47mm lug-to-lug — a slightly longer case than the 300M Commando, with a more traditional diver profile. The hand-finished 316L stainless steel is brushed and polished throughout, with crown guards at 3 o'clock and a screw-down crown and caseback locking down the 200-meter water resistance rating. A sapphire crystal sits up front. The unidirectional rotating bezel tracks elapsed time in one direction only, and the "Scuba Dude" and historical HGP logo are pressed into the solid screw-down caseback — archive details present on every watch in the Commando range. The 20mm lug width makes strap changes easy and opens the watch up to a wide aftermarket selection.

Inside runs the Seiko NH38 — a Japanese automatic with no date, hacking seconds, and a 41-hour power reserve running at 21,600 bph. No date keeps the dial uncluttered and the layout symmetrical. The movement is adjusted in-house by HGP's French watchmaker partner MNP in Besançon to ±15 seconds per day accuracy.

Add this Beads of Rice Bracelet to complete the look.
