Simply put, Timex has been hitting it out of the park recently by releasing watches that speak to a wide audience while including nods to watch enthusiasts. The Timex x seconde/seconde collection has achieved just that through its variations based on the classic stainless steel Timex Q with its integrated bracelet. In a #IYKYK fashion, Timex has partnered with Romaric André, also known as seconde/seconde/, to release distinct “Episodes”, each playing on a popular trope or famous model through its unique second hand and other details.
The Timex x seconde/seconde Limited Edition Loser watches are based on the Timex Q model with 38mm x 44.25mm wide stainless steel cases and domed acrylic crystals. The references TW2W70600 (silver with cream dial) and TW2W70700 (gold-plated) both feature customized second hands with a literal hand in the shape of an L. The dials are also, unusually, rebranded with “L” and “MY-EX”. We’ll let you connect the dots on that one. The rest of the watch is consistent with the rest of the Timex x seconde/seconde series: the bezel is shared with those on the red/blue, all green, and brown variants. The bracelet is stainless steel and is fully adjustable. Water resistance is 50m and is, according to Timex, suitable for light swimming.
The Timex x seconde/seconde watches are powered by quartz analog movements (Seiko PC33 based) rated to less than +/- 30 seconds a month. The battery hatch is accessible from the caseback.
