Nivada Grenchen x Worn & Wound Datomaster VK63 V3 

The Nivada Grenchen x Worn & Wound Datomaster VK63 V3 is the third collaboration between the two brands in as many years. Originally designed to accompany a Valjoux 72-powered chronograph, the VK63, with its Sii VK Meca-Quartz movement, provided a fun and affordable but equally stylish counterpart. The VK63 model stands alone for the third collaboration, featuring a unique, head-turning colorway.Inspired by mid-twentieth-century automobiles, the dial of the Datomaster features a cool, pale mint base. At the center is an unexpected circle of a darker, greener teal tone that extends out, encompassing the sub-seconds at six—sub-dials at three and nine for 24-hour and 60-minute counters cut through the center, emphasizing their functions. Dark gray indexes add contrast for legibility, while a deep purple adds a surprising play of color. An unconventional take on a racing chronograph dial, the Nivada Grenchen x Worn & Wound Datomaster VK63 V3 will stand out in a collection.

Change your bezel, change your style

The revitalized Nivada Grenchen has made a splash with creative and startlingly accurate reissues of its famous Chronomaster, Chronoking, Depthmaster, and Antarctic collections. Now, combining their Chronoking line with an early 1960s watch called the COLORAMA VI, Nivada has brought interchangeable bezels to the brand’s iconic chronograph formula.The new Chronoking Mecaquartz Interchangeable Bezel still features a 38mm stainless steel case with no crown guards that is water resistant to 100m. Its richly textured matte black dial is accented with fierce shades of yellow and orange on its markers and hands with a rally-style minute track oozing vintage racing charm. The new interchangeable bezel system allows for near-instant swaps between the five tachymeter and five GMT bezel variants, all of which are made secure by a unique four-ball locking system and feature unique sixties-themed colors. The Chronoking Mecaquartz is paired with a grand prix-ready black leather racing strap.

The return of a legend

The Nivada Grenchen Chronosport was a bold vision of what a sports chronograph could be in the 1970s. A tool watch that was ahead of its time, from its bold case to its unique dial, it truly stands out as special. The only problem is that only 10 were ever made—until now. Nivada Grenchen has brought this mythical watch back and kept all of its distinct personality.The dial of the Chronosport is eye-catching with its atypical sub-dial layout and coloring. Rather than the standard 3-9 or 12-6-9 positioning, the Chronosport features sub-dials at 9 and 12 for the active seconds and 30-minute totalizer, respectively. They are also an attractive dark khaki, which complements the otherwise matte black dial, and feature very specific typography and index design best known for its use in the Rolex “Paul Newman” Daytona. Printed markers, and a date at three round out the design. For the reissue, the Chronosport is available with white or “vintage” colored lume.
