In 1973, the Citizen Watch Company introduced an unconventional style of chronograph called the "bullhead." It earned this name because the movement inside the case is turned 90 degrees counterclockwise, positioning the crown and pushers at the top of the watch to resemble a bull. In 2023, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this iconic timepiece, a modern interpretation was launched. Due to its success, a new version in the form of the Tsuno Chronograph is being introduced, crafted in super-titanium. This new model features the Caliber E210, which is solar-powered and has a 1/5-second flyback chronograph with a 60-minute counter and 12-hour accumulator. It even has a power reserve indicator. This bold blue watch has a 43.5mm diameter and features black subdials with red accents. It comes with a black perforated leather strap featuring a deployant clasp and is limited to only 2500 pieces worldwide. If you are seeking something unique, we believe you have just found it.

Our next pick is the Hamilton Khaki Mechanical, a quintessential field watch we believe everyone should have in their collection. In the late 1990s, Seiko released its most unconventional chronograph: the Sportura Kinetic 9T82. It featured a large subdial at 6 o’clock, which depicted the time in hours, minutes, and seconds. A slightly smaller subdial above it at 12 o’clock provided the chronograph's running seconds. On either side of that one, there were even smaller subdials for the 1/10 of a second reading on the left and the passing minutes + hours on the right. Completing the design was a date window located at what would have been the 4 o’clock position on a traditional timepiece. If you missed out on the previous model, you're in luck! Seiko has released a new version: a solar-powered 1/100 of a second chronograph. Unlike the last model with cut-out windows, this one has all its features under one sapphire crystal. It may not be as unconventional as the previous version, but it offers exciting features and is infinitely more wearable.
