The Willys field watch is the product of a collaboration that started in 1941, when Marathon began supplying timepieces to Allied forces alongside the original Willys MB — the first Jeep. Both brands have been in the military supply business ever since, and this collection makes that shared history explicit. The 41mm Willys takes Marathon's standard GP Officer's case and updates the dial with typography drawn from the Jeep Wrangler 1941 Limited Edition, Aged-Radium colored numerals, and MaraGlo illumination across the handset. It's a straightforward field watch with a specific pedigree, available in two movement configurations: a Swiss quartz ETA or a hand-wound Sellita mechanical.

The case is 41mm 316L stainless steel with a parkerized finish — the same non-reflective, corrosion-resistant surface treatment used on military hardware. At 11mm thick and 48mm lug-to-lug, it wears like a proper field watch without the bulk of a diver. The sapphire crystal, pressure crown, and 5 ATM water resistance round out a construction that's deliberate and unadorned. Both variants ship with a 3-piece Crazy Horse leather strap kit.

The SSGPQ runs on a Swiss-made ETA F06.402 Heavy Drive-Preci Drive quartz rated to ±10 seconds per year — essentially battery-powered precision requiring no input from the wearer. The SSGPM takes the opposite approach: an 18-jewel Sellita SW210-1 hand-wind, requiring daily winding but carrying no battery dependency. Both movements keep the same dial configuration; the choice comes down to how you prefer your field watch to run.
