Damasko is known for the awesome tech they use in their over-engineered watches. From near-scratch-proof hardened steels and black coatings to true decoupling crowns with lubrication cells, Damasko watches are incredibly tough and well-made. The watches we are introducing today feature many of their signature technologies, but also something far more unique and exceptional: in-house automatic calibers.

Now available at the Windup Watch Shop, the Damasko DK 14 and DK 15

The DK 14 and 15 are rugged, 42mm pilot’s watches with bi-directional bezels that very much stay true to Damasko’s core design philosophies. They are built for clarity, legibility and to withstand pretty much anything you can throw at them. For the DK 14 and 15, this extends beyond the case and into the movement itself.

Beating within is the A35-1, one of Damasko’s in-house developed, engineered and manufactured movements, featuring around 30 patents. Not another 2824 clone, the A35-1 is a bi-directionally winding automatic with a silicon escape wheel and a silicon hairspring, made with Damasko’s patented EPS® silicon. Now more common, when Damasko launched their movements in 2008, they were one of the first brands to use silicon, pursuing the material because, like their case techs, it can lead to a tougher watch that needs less service.

Additionally, the A35-1 features a freesprung balance with variable weight oscillator that is adjusted to 5 positions. The black Damasko rotor is fit with a ceramic bearing and specially designed track that allows for superior winding and vibration resistance. The A35-1 has 23 jewels, day and date indicators, 52 hours of power reserve, and is decorated throughout with perlage, cote de geneve and blue screws.

Thanks to the use of silicon in the A35-1, giving them naturally higher anti-magnetic properties, the DK 14 and 15 feature sapphire case backs, allowing you to see the exceptional German engineering within.

Damasko DK 14

The DK 14 is a big, bold, rugged pilot’s watch that comes standard with a 12-hr rotating bezel for tracking a second time-zone. Thanks to the in-house A35-1 movement, a large sub-seconds dial is present at the nine position, giving the dial added style and attitude. The DK 14 is available now, starting at $3,006

Damasko DK 15

The Dk 15 has essentially the same design as the 14, but with a full-lume dial. This means at night, or in low-light, the dial is just as legible as during the day. The DK 15 comes standard with a 55-minute bezel, great for tracking elapsed times. The DK 15 is available now, starting at $3,006
