THE ROUNDUP
Our Favorite Dive Watches Currently Available
Windup Watch Shop - June 22, 2026

While dive watches might have been created to serve professional and recreational divers with a way to safely track how long they had been down, it’s safe to say that you’re more likely to find a dive watch in the boardroom than you are on a dive boat. In their prime, dive watches were the ultimate tool for divers, ensuring they had a reliable way to track how long they had been underwater and estimate how much air they had remaining in their tanks. As such, the International Organization for Standardization (abbreviated ISO) developed the ISO 6429 testing procedure, creating a standard of features to which dive watches could be certified. While ISO requires outside testing, these standards ensure that those who rely on their watches have quality equipment on their wrists when their lives are at stake. Even if you’re a certified desk diver, we think everyone should have at least one solid dive watch in their collection, so we’ve curated a small collection of our favorite dive watches, all currently available through the Windup Watch Shop.
Windup Watch Shop x Caravelle by Bulova Sea Hunter

The Caravelle Sea Hunter x Windup Watch Shop Limited Edition reimagines the "Devil Diver" in a colorway that feels essentially right. While the base Sea Hunter offered a compelling value proposition—pairing 200 meters of water resistance with a reliable Japanese automatic movement and authentic vintage heritage—this collaboration refines the formula. By removing the date window and introducing a rich, deep green dial, the timepiece gains a focused, symmetrical aesthetic. This bundle includes both a stainless steel bracelet and a sand-colored nylon strap, allowing the watch to transition seamlessly from a clean, professional look to a rugged, field-ready companion. Retaining the robust 39mm 316L stainless steel case, the Sea Hunter measures 14mm thick with a compact 45.5mm lug-to-lug distance. Available exclusively through Windup, this specific configuration is tailored for enthusiasts who appreciate the Sea Hunter’s historical significance.
SHOP NOWTissot Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80

The Tissot Seastar 1000 combines bold styling and high-quality craftsmanship into an accessible package, highlighted by gradient-textured dials and superior finishing. Its 40mm case achieves 300m of water resistance, ensuring it can handle anything you throw its way. The dial features thick hands and applied markers, while the seconds hand is accented with the iconic Tissot "T" counterweight. As you’d expect from a true dive watch, the Seastar features a unidirectional bezel and Super-LumiNova on the hands and indexes. Powering the timepiece is the Swiss-made Powermatic 80 automatic movement, which can be viewed through a sapphire exhibition caseback. This 23-jewel caliber, based on the ETA C07.111, operates at a frequency of 21,600 bph and incorporates a Nivachron balance spring. Notable for its exceptional 80-hour power reserve, the movement also includes a date display and hacking seconds.
SHOP NOWElliot Brown Black Whiteout Holton GMT

Forged through a partnership with a specialized British Military unit, the Holton has solidified its position as a cornerstone of the Elliot Brown lineup, now enhanced with a practical GMT complication. This mission-ready timepiece utilizes a Seiko NH34 automatic movement to monitor a secondary time zone, while its 24-hour bezel provides the utility of tracking a third. Built to endure the rigors of professional use, it incorporates a proprietary anti-shock housing for the caliber, housed within a 316L case finished in a resilient matte gunmetal PVD. While high-performance lume is standard across our favorites, the Black Whiteout edition offers a striking point of differentiation: a full-lume BGW9 Super-LumiNova dial. This high-visibility surface is punctuated by stark black markers, tactical red highlights, and vibrant X1 C3 green luminosity on the handset. The package is rounded out with a matching three-link PVD bracelet featuring a micro-adjustable clasp, all secured by robust screw-in bars for maximum security on the wrist.
SHOP NOWZodiac X GiantMouse Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver Watch

The collaboration between Zodiac and GiantMouse on the Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver and companion Dive Knife represents a masterful fusion of functional engineering and horological storytelling. This unique pairing elevates the concept of everyday gear, matching a contemporary interpretation of the iconic 1970s "Exotic" Sea Wolf with a precision-forged tool that reflects its rugged spirit. At the core of the bundle is a Super Sea Wolf Pro-Diver, featuring a 42mm stainless steel case and a distinctive blue ceramic bezel. This vivid aesthetic, deeply rooted in Zodiac's history of aquatic exploration, carries over to the GiantMouse dive knife, which utilizes a black anodized aluminum handle offset by a high-visibility orange G10 inlay. Forged from corrosion-resistant N360 Satin Steel, the 3.8-inch blade (8.2-inch overall length) is purpose-built for the most challenging underwater tasks, incorporating a blunt tip and a dedicated line cutter into its functional profile.
Oris Aquis Pro 4000 Meter

The Oris Aquis Pro 4000 Meter feels less like a product aimed at a specific consumer segment and more like a high-performance engineering challenge brought to life. While standard professional divers typically reach a depth of a few hundred meters, this timepiece boasts a staggering 4,000 meters of water resistance. Such extreme capability necessitates a substantial footprint; the multi-piece, titanium case measures 49.5mm in diameter with a 55mm lug-to-lug distance and a formidable thickness of 23.4mm. Beating at its heart is the in-house Oris Calibre 400, an automatic movement operating at 4Hz that offers an exceptional 120-hour power reserve. Beyond the standard unidirectional dive bezel, Oris has implemented their proprietary Rotation Safety System (RSS). This innovative locking mechanism requires the user to physically lift the rubberized outer ring before the bezel can be adjusted, providing a critical layer of security for those truly testing the limits of both the human body and their watch.
