Earlier this month, our COO and Worn & Wound co-founder, James Helms, traveled to the heart of Europe for the Micro Praha watch fair. After a weekend spent exploring new releases and meeting with makers in Prague’s historic central station, James is back with a report on the biggest highlight of the trip.

Last month, I had the pleasure of traveling to the heart of Europe for Micro Praha, a fantastic event held in the historic Fantova Budova of Prague’s central train station. The atmosphere was incredible—coinciding with the start of the Christmas markets, the venue was filled with Art Nouveau charm and the buzz of enthusiasts. Unlike the stuffy, glass-case displays of larger commercial trade shows, this fair champions an "open table" concept that breaks down barriers between visitors and watchmakers. It was in this welcoming, festive environment that I made a beeline for the Deutsche Uhrenmanufaktur Glashütte(DUG) stand, eager to see their latest creations in the metal.

Getting hands-on with the watches is what this show is all about, and the experience at the DUG booth was easily a highlight of the trip. As you can see from the photos, the presentation was incredibly tactile and inviting.

Micro Praha is Central Europe’s premier exhibition for independent watch brands, hosted in the historic Art Nouveau halls of Prague’s central station. Founded to bridge the gap between creators and enthusiasts, the fair features an "open table" concept that encourages visitors to handle timepieces and speak directly with brand owners. It is a vibrant, accessible celebration of horology that coincides with the city’s festive Christmas markets.

I was particularly struck by the models featuring the grey fumé gradient dials, which capture a modern, industrial aesthetic while retaining that classic elegance you expect from a brand with Glashütte on the dial. Seeing them up close—specifically the variation between the clean stick indices and the field-style numeral layouts—confirmed the high level of craftsmanship coming out of this manufactory. The steel bracelets felt robust and comfortable on the wrist, while the strap options we tested demonstrated just how versatile these timepieces are for everyday wear.

One of the best parts of attending a fair like Micro Praha is the personal connection you build with the people behind the dial. After spending time at the booth, discussing the mechanics, and seeing the passion put into these timepieces, I am thrilled to announce that we are officially partnering with the brand. We are incredibly happy to be working with DUG as a retailer here in the USA. It was a productive trip, and after seeing them in person, we can’t wait to share these watches with you.
