In 1973, the Citizen Watch Company introduced an unconventional style of chronograph called the "bullhead." It earned this name because the movement inside the case is turned 90 degrees counterclockwise, positioning the crown and pushers at the top of the watch to resemble a bull. In 2023, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of this iconic timepiece, a modern interpretation was launched. Due to its success, a new version in the form of the Tsuno Chronograph is being introduced, crafted in super-titanium. This new model features the Caliber E210, which is solar-powered and has a 1/5-second flyback chronograph with a 60-minute counter and 12-hour accumulator. It even has a power reserve indicator. This bold blue watch has a 43.5mm diameter and features black subdials with red accents. It comes with a black perforated leather strap featuring a deployant clasp and is limited to only 2500 pieces worldwide. If you are seeking something unique, we believe you have just found it.

Our next pick is the Hamilton Khaki Mechanical, a quintessential field watch we believe everyone should have in their collection. These watches were initially issued in the 1980s and 90s and are now synonymous with "field watch." In fact, when most people hear that term, the first watch they think of is this one. The watch is a great size, with a diameter of 38mm and a thickness of under 10mm, making it perfect for all wrist sizes. It is straightforward to read due to the defined numerals and distinct handset. Combined with its no-nonsense case and durable H-50 manual wind movement, providing up to 80 hours of power reserve, it’s easy to understand why it's such a great choice. If you don’t already have one of these, what are you waiting for?
SHOP NOWEstablished in 2007, Rickshaw Bags is a small San Francisco-based company known for simple, functional, high-quality bags inspired by urban mobility. For this Roundup, we are featuring their Timekeeper 2 and 4, which are perfect for watch enthusiasts who want to bring 2 or 4 watches on their travels. The pouches' exterior is made from various performance fabrics, and they are finished with a paracord zipper fastened to a YKK zipper. The super-soft Royal Plush interior lining prevents scratches, while foam padding on exterior surfaces provides excellent impact protection. These are suitable for watches up to 45mm in diameter and can be easily placed into any backpack or luggage. Instead of wrapping your watches in socks, use these to keep them secure and stylishly protected.
SHOP NOWWhat do you do when a great idea or inspiration strikes and your phone is out of power? And what about when someone gives you detailed instructions, like complicated directions, and you need to write them down? Sometimes, a random piece of paper just won't cut it. This is where the Expedition Notebook comes in. It features a high-visibility "Antarctic Survey Orange" front cover and a "Polar Night Black" back cover, ensuring it stands out and is readily available whenever needed. What sets these notebooks apart is the Yupo Synthetic paper inside, which is extruded from polypropylene pellets in Chesapeake, Virginia. This material is tearproof and waterproof, making these some of the most formidable notebooks available today. They are ideal for safeguarding your thoughts, inspiration, and essential information. We believe everything should be noted on something that will keep it secure. Don’t you?
SHOP NOWIn the late 1990s, Seiko released its most unconventional chronograph: the Sportura Kinetic 9T82. It featured a large subdial at 6 o’clock, which depicted the time in hours, minutes, and seconds. A slightly smaller subdial above it at 12 o’clock provided the chronograph's running seconds. On either side of that one, there were even smaller subdials for the 1/10 of a second reading on the left and the passing minutes + hours on the right. Completing the design was a date window located at what would have been the 4 o’clock position on a traditional timepiece. If you missed out on the previous model, you're in luck! Seiko has released a new version: a solar-powered 1/100 of a second chronograph. Unlike the last model with cut-out windows, this one has all its features under one sapphire crystal. It may not be as unconventional as the previous version, but it offers exciting features and is infinitely more wearable.
